Social Media Policy

Urglaawe Social Media Policy (2018-01)

Urglaawe group members have the freedom of conscience to express themselves as they will on social media. However, the content and the methods of expression used reflect upon the organization. Members, both of the main Urglaawe group and of the associated guild groups, and prospective members are expected to engage with others in the community in a frithful manner.

Malicious public attacks on others, regardless of whether the target is a member, argumentative private messages intending to intimidate a member of a post or response thereto, and indiscreet posting of private issues are grounds for removal of the author from any and/or all of the groups.

Instigators of online arguments will be held responsible for the resulting chaos they initiate. Referencing the group(s) or group(s) members in these arguments will also be grounds for removal of the author from any and/or all of the groups.

It is the responsibility of those who associate with Urglaawe to self-regulate their online presence. Individuals who are prone to inappropriate outbursts become a burden on the group(s), inhibiting our growth and detracting from our mission. Patterns of behavior in opposition to our 18 virtues will also be grounds for removal, banning, and/or blocking.

Decisions to remove an author will be determined by a majority of Urglaawe admins. The author will be informed of the removal decision by an Urglaawe admin. After an allotted period of time, as determined by the admins, and a record by the individual of responsible online media use, the admins may elect to review their previous decision and offer readmission to the group(s) for a probationary period, to be set by the admins. Violation of the policy during the probationary period will result in immediate removal from all groups without the possibility for readmission.
